T.L. Brown Law Firm, P.C. (“T.L. Brown Law,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit tlbrownlaw.com, including its Spanish-language pages (the “Website”), or contact us through it.

This policy covers the Website only. Information you share with us as a client is also protected by our professional duty of confidentiality and, where it applies, the attorney-client privilege. Your engagement agreement governs that relationship.

By using the Website, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you use our contact form, submit documents, make a payment, call, or email us, we may collect:

  • Contact details, such as your name, phone number, email address, and mailing address
  • The type of legal matter and any details you choose to describe
  • Documents you upload through our Submit Documents page, which may include financial records, immigration papers, court records, medical records, or identification documents
  • Payment information you enter on our Payments page. Card and bank details are processed by our third-party payment processor, Law Pay and are not stored on our Website.
  • Your preferred language and how you heard about us

Information collected automatically. When you browse the Website, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and the date and time of your visit. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).

Sensitive information. Our practice areas, including bankruptcy, immigration, criminal law, expungement, personal injury, and workers’ compensation, often involve sensitive information such as financial account details, immigration status, criminal history, or health information. Please share only what is needed for an initial inquiry through the contact form. We will request further details securely once we begin working with you.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and schedule consultations
  • Check for conflicts of interest before taking on a matter
  • Provide legal services if you become a client
  • Receive and process payments
  • Communicate with you by phone, email, or text message, in English or Spanish
  • Operate, secure, and improve the Website and prevent spam and fraud
  • Comply with legal, ethical, and professional obligations

Text messages. If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we may send messages about your inquiry or matter. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. We do not share mobile numbers or text-messaging consent with third parties for their marketing purposes.

3. No Attorney-Client Relationship

Contacting us through the Website, by email, or by submitting documents does not create an attorney-client relationship. That relationship begins only after we have checked for conflicts and both you and the firm have signed a written engagement agreement.

Until then, please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information. We will treat inquiries with care, but information sent before an engagement may not be protected by the attorney-client privilege. Information on the Website is general and is not legal advice.
